Thailand has a lot of TV channels, but all are in Thai. This is a problem.

Despite calls for better English skills among Thais, nothing much has changed in terms of media support. The society does not seem to appreciate the presentation of thoughts and ideas and feelings in foreign tongues.

Despite Thailand's cosmopolitanism, it's odd to This does not mean that Thai TV channels have provided international standard programs , many observers may feel that most of them present redundant programs or shows. For example, many air singing contests.

All Thai TVs are under the supervision of the state agencies. They are under the pressure to earn enough income to pay the concession fees.

Those many channels owned by State do not broadcast their programs in English. The broadcast language is all in Thai and many programs seem redundant.
