How to Learn Languages Better

How to Learn Languages Better

Janpha Thadphoothon

There are many ways to learn a language or languages and there are ways to learn them better. Better means faster and more enjoyable, and more effective.

Here are three ways:

1. Increase your exposure to the TL environment - use it in the target language environment

Your exposure means 'using it in real situations'
Your exposure may include watching videos in the target language for example in English or Chinese.

2. Learn the language from examples - online examples give you opportunities to learn from them

3. Learn them in chunks - not as isolated items For example, instead of learning the word 'consider', it is far better to learn the whole chunk - "please consider my proposal".

တက္ကသိုလ် (Takkatou) or univresity - should not be learn as an insolated item or unit. It is better to learn it in a context of use such as အမျိုးသား ထိုင်ဝမ် တက္ကသိုလ်
or တက္ကသိုလ်ကျောင်းသားများ university students
