COVID-19 Poems

COVID-19 Poems / Tidbits

By Janpha Thadphoothon

The following poems or rather pieces of writing help me to make sense of the recent viral pandemic. This 'thing' is tiny and we know little about it. It is like a alien. They are the poems or creative writing works that I created to make records of the event and to share. More importantly, they are what I enjoy doing. They are healing activities.

Creativity is perhaps the last resort we have as humanity to deal with threats and grave dangers.

1.

COVID-19

Some say you're like an alien?
You came uninvited- you kill.
Infected, mutated, and won
Innocent? Or nature's goodwill.

COVID-19, where're you from?
COVID-19, are you man made?
How can we stay living with calm?
What message you have conveyed?

2.

Coronavirus

Social distancing
Stay home, stay safe, and positive
And go digital

A Small Food Stall by the Road in April

This is my haiku for today, April 10th, 2020.

I shall name it - "A Small Food Stall by the Road in April"

"A Small Food Stall by the Road in April"

On the way back home
A food stall by the road
Scorching April

All for the Sunrise

 Tweeting, chirping
Neighbors' dogs barks, cocks crowing
All for the sunrise

Humanity on its knee.

COVID-19

Tiny, Elusive, but Deadly
Spreading, Infecting, Destroying, and Killing
We Don;t really know what it is!
