I would like to thank Greg Richards for inviting me to join this online discussion. I have a few notes, basically my personal impressions regarding tourism, cultures, and creative elements.
1. The coming of Metaverse and AI - would certainly transform the industry, not to mention the information already available online and businesses capitalizing on the potential.
2. Cultures have been negotiated and are often negotiable, which is as we know 'political'. I do not wish to see cultures as simply narratives, but a way of life of a group of people.
3. The tradeoff between international tourism and economic growth is not easy to determine. In general, the need to drive the economy may override other considerations, including local and global stakeholders.
