Personal Reflection (Dated 21 Jan 2022)

I first presented a paper at an event under Thailand TESOL in the province of Khon Khaen when I was doing my doctoral degree. It was so exciting for me and the people I met were amazing. The presentation? I did not remember much but the food was great and it was an exciting event for me. That was almost 20 years ago.

I did make some friends and the friendship I have means a lot to me and it has significantly transformed my life as a person and as an academic in the field of ELT in general.

It must be said that this will be my 2nd presentation under the umbrella of Thailand TESOL of mine in Khon Khaen provide. It is an online event, but I wish the event every success.

What have I learned from the conference above?

Kindness and friendship matter. No matter what happens, it's better to remain positive.
Humor does make the difference.
You are your own master and if you want to learn more, you need to allocate enough time and energy into it.
