Another set of pressing issues Thailand is facing: Equity in Society

I have read this article written by two Khnon Kaen University's lecturers: John Draper and Peerasit Kammuansilpa. This article expresses grave concerns over Thailand's racial tensions, as the kingdom is moving toward cosmopolitanism and multiculturalism. The situation we are in has been perceived and analyzed by many independent think-tanks as 'perilous' and, thus, prudent and immediate measures and dialogs within the kingdom and international partners are required, to avoid "a downward spiral of worsening ethnocentrism and xenophobia"



It must be noted that Writer: John Draper and Peerasit Kamnuansilpa are not new in voicing their concerns and opinions on various issues on human rights, earlier this year, one of their articles: "200,000 migrant kids deserve a chance" has been published by the Bangkok Post.
