I am Janpha Thadphoothon, a lecturer at the International College (IC) of Dhurakij Pundit University, a private university located on the outskirts of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. In addition to lecturing, I also blog - this is one of my posts.
In this post, I describe my thoughts and feelings on learning. We can learn by reading books or websites, and, of course, from many other media. There are several ways to learn. To learn is to live meaningfully. One way to learn is to learn from the locals.
Last weekend, on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, to be precise, I, together with ten students, went to Kret Island, an island on the Chao Phraya River, to learn about local curricula and we learned a great deal from the locals.
On the island, there are no roads for cars or trucks. We rented a bicycle and rode from place to place around the island. It was great fun and good for health.
