How Bi/Multilingualism Makes Your Brain Healthier

As people grow older, and getting old is natural, their brains (size) tend to shrink. The brain becomes smaller. This is one the the dementia's causes.

If you speak or use only one language and hardly do any other complex mental exercise like word puzzles, your brain, according to studies, tends to shrink faster.

Research found that using several languages helps delay such decay. On average, you can delay that decaying process by 4.5 years.
